To mark International Children’s Day, we are launching a grant competition to support community initiatives that develop family-based forms of care.
Grant Competition
The charitable organization Ruslan Shostak Charity Foundation announces an open grant competition as part of the program “Family: From Orphanhood to Home.” The competition aims to support civic associations and charitable organizations that help develop family-based care for children deprived of parental care.
Who Can Apply
Civic associations and charitable organizations operating across Ukraine — except for temporarily occupied territories — are invited to participate.
Funding
The total grant fund for the competition is 1,000,000 UAH.
The funds will be distributed among four winning organizations, each receiving up to 250,000 UAH to implement their local project.
Financial support is provided for initiatives aimed at:● Supporting patronage families and family-type homes (DBST)● Supporting children placed in patronage families● Preparing and forming new patronage families● Developing local support systems within communities● Preparing communities for the return of children from institutions● Communication and awareness initiatives
(promoting positive public attitudes toward patronage and foster parenting)● Innovative approaches and pilot solutions
(testing new formats of support for patronage families and children)
How to Apply

Completed project application form (including project idea, goals, action plan, and expected results).Link to the form2. Budget table with a detailed breakdown of expenses.Link to the form3. Organization’s statutory documents (scanned copies: charter, extract from the Unified State Register, and the certificate confirming inclusion in the Register of Non-Profit Organizations).4. Information about the organization’s previously implemented initiatives.

Additional Information
All submitted applications will be evaluated by a selection committee — the composition of which will be announced on 29 November — based on the following criteria:● Alignment with the goals of the program “Family: From Orphanhood to Home”● Relevance and impact on the development of family-based care● Realistic and well-justified budget● The organization’s capacity to implement the project within the specified timeframe
